Footwear Maintenance -This is How You Can Do It

Leather shoes are the best investment piece after gold. They are once going to hit your pocket hard but the long term use will leave you worry-free to buy another pair, not for at least a few years. Maintain them properly and they are your best friends in the long run. Of course, it is quite not possible to buy another mens shoes within just a couple of months giving their cost. The price you pay for owing one expensive yet extremely impressive footwear pays you back tenfold of what you did to own them. So not to worry, I am going to give you a few tips of how to maintain that leathery texture and richness of your footwear for years.

  1. It is very important to know that if your leather pair is clogged in water, NEVER EVER keep it in sunlight or direct heat as this can result in discolouration, loosen adhesives or leather cracking. Alternatively you can simply wrap the shoes in the newspaper as soon as you find them soaked in water.

  2. You might be thinking that shoe box is just perfect for maintaining that newness, but that's not right. When you bring a new pair of mens leather footwear, keep them out of the box, in the shoe rack (yes, it is wise to have a dust free rack so better clean your footwear right before you stack them up).

  3. Just like protecting the shoe top is necessary, protecting the shoe bottom is equally important. Consider using some shoe taps, they are good for your shoe bottom.

  4. You can also consider putting trees in your shoes. You might be wondering why. Just after cleaning and conditioning of leather is done, you may put some unfinished cedar trees heel as these are great in retaining the shoe shape, absorbing odours and moisture, and reducing creases.

  5. You may switch using shoe horn as that wiggle dance performance you give every time you wear them is sufficient to destroy your heels.

  6. That is acceptable your shoes are master pieces of flawless quality and a name in brand, but it doesn't mean you have to put them on every single day. Wearing them even thrice a week with hours of use can reduce their life.

  7. Condition your shoes every one month, if you wear them very frequently at your workplace. If you have some strenuous task to do, say like a salesman job, then condition them every two weeks. Conditioning provides the leather nutrients for keeping it intact.

  8. Yeppp, polish your shoes regularly or every now and then. Now that is totally your personally choice. Some men who love to get their faces reflect back from their feet and then there are rest who are fine with a slight buff.
Follow these tips and you will get your footwear lavishness to your hearts content.
